Desktop app
XinYu AI, on your computer
Same account and same canvases as the web app, plus things only the desktop app can do: use files straight from your computer, save downloads where you choose, and get notified when a generation finishes.
What the desktop app adds
Canvases, models and credits are exactly the same as on the web. These are desktop-only.
Local files panel
Keep a project folder from your computer next to the canvas, browse thumbnails, and drag files straight in. File names and paths stay on your computer; only the file you drag onto the canvas is uploaded.
Save downloads where you choose
Downloading opens a save window that starts in the folder you last used for this project, so you don't have to dig through Downloads.
Notified when it's done
Working in another app? You'll get a system notification when an image or video finishes or fails. Click it to jump back to XinYu.
Privacy lock
Cover the screen in one click and unlock with a 4-digit PIN. On a Mac you can unlock with Touch ID and turn on screenshot blocking, so XinYu shows as black in screenshots and screen sharing.
Install on Mac
- 1Open the .dmg file you downloaded.
- 2Drag XinYu AI into your Applications folder.
- 3Open it from Applications and click "Sign in with your browser". Confirm in your browser and you'll be taken back to the app. The app is notarized by Apple, so it opens normally.
Uninstall
Drag XinYu AI from Applications to the Trash. Your sign-in and local settings are kept in "~/Library/Application Support/心宇 AI"; delete that folder to remove them too.
Install on Windows
- 1Double-click the .exe installer you downloaded.
- 2If you see "Windows protected your PC", click "More info" → "Run anyway" (the installer isn't code-signed yet).
- 3Choose where to install it (another drive such as D: is fine, no administrator rights needed). Then open it from the Start menu or desktop and sign in with your browser.
Uninstall
Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find XinYu AI and choose Uninstall. Your sign-in and local settings are kept in "%APPDATA%\心宇 AI"; delete that folder to remove them too.
The app always loads the latest XinYu AI features from the web. Your work is saved in the cloud and isn't deleted when you uninstall.
