Delete your XinYu AI account

This page explains how to delete your XinYu AI account (developer: Welx Tech Sdn Bhd), and what happens to your data when you do. It applies to the same account on the website, the XinYu AI app for iPhone and Android, and the desktop client.

1. Delete your account in the app

  1. Open the XinYu AI app and sign in.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner to open Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Read what will happen, confirm that you understand, and tap Delete account again.

Your account is deactivated right away.

2. Without the app

If you can't use the app, email support@xinyuai.app from the email address of your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will reply to confirm the request before we delete anything.

3. What happens immediately

  • Your account is deactivated: you can no longer sign in on the website, the app or the desktop client, and your API keys stop working.
  • Works you shared publicly on Xin TV, and your public templates, are taken down.
  • If you signed in with Apple, we revoke XinYu AI's access to your Apple ID.
  • Any remaining Xins (credits) are forfeited and are not refunded.

4. 30 days to change your mind

For 30 days after the request, you can restore your account by contacting support@xinyuai.app. Your shares and templates are brought back as they were.

5. What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleted

After the 30 days, we delete or anonymize your personal information (email address, name, profile picture, sign-in details) and delete your creations and uploaded files. This is completed no later than 90 days after your request, as stated in our Privacy Policy.

Kept

  • Payment and transaction records: kept for at least 7 years, as required by tax and financial regulations.
  • Security and audit logs: kept for at least 2 years, for security and fraud prevention.
  • Works other people are using: if another user cloned one of your published canvases into their own project, the files it uses are kept so their project keeps working. They are no longer linked to your personal information.
  • Team projects: creations you made inside a team project belong to that team and stay with it.

6. Delete some data without deleting your account

You can delete individual creations and uploads at any time from your library, in the app or on the website. Deleted items are removed from both.
